How many Indian Heliodors have you heard of? A few were available back in 1999. Most of these were heavily damaged and crystal sections. I've only seen the ones that I ended up getting as part of a large purchase of other Indian specimens in 1999. This is a well formed hexagonal transluscent crystal with a flat termination. The flat termination has hexagonal grownths similar to the trigonal growths on the India Ruby crystals.

A remarkable and aesthetic Thomas Range floater Topaz cluster. It is almost 6cm and double terminated with smaller crystals forming an X. Other than one small crystal on the back which is missing (cleanly cleaved), this specimen is perfect. It also lacks any internal fractures and is extremely lustrous. Best of all the top third of the main crystal is the wonderful gemmy sherry color that makes Utah Topaz so desirable. There has been no new Topaz pockets found at Maynard's, source of the best Topaz Mountain Topaz, for over 3 years. Quality miniatures of this size are extremely uncommon and are usually several times this price when found.
