This type is a matrix of Rhyolite covered with multiple sherry colored Topaz.  I have never seen any others look like these. A field collector found a limited number of these and brought some to me at a local show for trade.

Here is a typical terminated sherry colored Topaz crystals on a Rhyolite matrix.

A stout terminated crystal with a side daughter crystal.  It looks repaired half way down the main crystal.  Heavily included by still gemmy tips.  Not near as dark as photos suggest. Cleaved base.

Here is a stout terminated crystal with a side daughter crystal.  Base simply grades into rhyolite.  It has an internal cleave plane on the top third but is not through or damaged.   Crystals  like this are almost impossible to find without commercial digging equipment.

Here is a terminated stout crystal that looks repaired or broken and healed in place.  Base grades into rhyolite.  Termination looks like a multiple termination and also has a black mineral that looks like a thick Pseudobrookite attached to the tip.  It has a daughter crystal which is just the tip of another crystal.

Another stout single crystal which is double terminated  but half the lower termination is graded into contact with rhyolite.  It also looks to be repaired but also has a nice black lustrous cubic Bixbyite attached to the lower termination.

Nice terminated crystal with grading into rhyolite at the base and a small base cleave.  An internal cleave that shows up more in the photo than in person.  Minor rhyolite inclusion near the tip on the back side.

Dark but not as dark as show.  Faces are lustrous.  Internal inclusions and some inclusions on the faces.  Bottom termination grades into rhyolite contact.  Several secondary terminated crystals.
