Huge Michigan Hematite.  A more specific location was not given but probably Marquette, Marquette Iron Range, Marquette County, Michigan.  Perhaps the Jackson Mine.  Also those familiar with Michigan Hematite specimens may be able to pinpoint the location.  No damage.  With a more exact location known, value would surely be $1000+.

 The was alot of these specimens around years ago.  Still quality specimens were hard to find.  Most specimens had considerable damage to the Grossulars.   Still the color made them very popular.  They are uncommon to find now at shows.  A bonus is that the Raspberry Garnets are fluorescent.  On this specimen the two large Grossulars are in great shape and displays very attractively.

   Undamaged aesthetic cluster of terminated Quartz crystals completely covered on one side by Smithsonite pseudomorphs after Calcite.  On the backside all the scalenohedral crystals are undamaged.  On the Quartz Smithsonite boundaries there are a few scalenohedral crystal tips broken off.  Neat and different pseudomorph.  ex Dan Belcher aka Blue Sky Mining aka Denver Box.  If this specimen was part of the Mimetite Smithsonite collection, it would be worth $1000+
