1   8hmdwns  ((CHALCOPYRITE with DOLOMITE)), $10 MINIMUM BID, Sweetwater Mine, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds county, Missouri, hwd, 9.5 x 12 x 2.5 cm , Cabinet, Here is a very nice larger Chalcopyrite specimen from Missouri with a natural bronze irridescent patina.  Also present are cream colored rhombs of Dolomite.

 
  2  8hmdwts  ((GALENA with CALCITE)), 30 MINIMUM BID, Sweetwater Mine, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds county, Missouri, hwd, 9.5 x 9 x 5 cm , Cabinet, Here is a large lustrous Galena with a great association of a terminated Calcite.  It is hard to tell on these Galenas, but I believe that the top and back side are cleavage faces which are still lustrous instead of natural faces.  Naturally sits on its side for display or could be set on a stand to have the Calcite stand upright. 

 
  3  8hmdwin  ((CALCITE, CHALCOPYRITE, DOLOMITE, minor GALENA)), 30 MINIMUM BID, Sweetwater Mine, Viburnum Trend District, Reynolds county, Missouri, hwd, 11 x 16 x 6 cm , Cabinet, Here is a large and except for one Calcite at the top is an undamaged Sweetwater specimen.  Terminated and double terminated Calcites cover the upper left half of the speicmen.  The bottom right half is dominated by micro Chalcopyrite.  The backside is totally covered with Dolomite rhombs but sprinkled with Chalcopyrite.  The backside also has a couple of flattened crystals of grey lustrous Galena.

A sharply crystallized example of this rare sulfate species, formerly known as Schonite, from a classic locality long abandoned. Minor halite is associated underneath and around the backside. It is, overall, a very attractive miniature. It carries an old label from the Bergakadmemie Freiberg. Sharp and complete all around, very 3-dimensional.
