  2  5ddbfns ((KOTTIGITE, PARASYMPLESITE)), $10 MINIMUM BID, Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico, 5 x 4 x 3 cm, Cabinet,  Here is a specimen from material that came out 30 years ago.  Several vugs have sprays of grey crystals of the rare arsenate mineral Kottigite from the Kottigite-Parasymplesite series.  It is actually impossible to differentiate the two without analysis.

  5 7hlkmr  ((WAVELLITE)), $5 MINIMUM BID, Lime Ridge, Pleasant Mills Quarry, Snyder County, Pennsylvania, 7 x 4.5 x 3 cm, Small Cabinet, Great coverage of yellow green spheres of Wavellite from Pennsylvania.  This find from two years ago produced the best Pennsylvania Wavellite ever found.  Sits up for display and has the natural brown iron staining on the matrix that contrasts with the spheres of Wavellite.

      ari  ((WAVELLITE on YELLOW PLANERITE)), $5 MINIMUM BID, Mauldin Mountain, Mt Ida, Arkansas, 6 x 3 x 1.5 cm, Miniature, Micro spheres of opaque yellow cream colored Wavellite with gemmy transparent micro lustrous crystals of Planerite.  Looks great under a loop or microscope.  Looking on mindat the planerite looks like Wavellite so I do not know which is which but the gemmy transparent crystals are very fine although micro.

  37  3hhshis  ((ARAGONITE)), $10 MINIMUM BID, Gold Hill Mine, Clifton District, Tooele County, Utah, 7 x 5 x 4.5 cm, Cabinet,    Excellent lime green fluorescence on this Gold Hill Aragonite which came out in the 70's and 80's as the mine is sealed by the state of Utah.  Note: underground is sealed while above ground is still able to be collected.  However many specimens such as this Aragonite is found underground.   

 

 
  38  3hhshis  ((HEMIMORPHITE)), $10 MINIMUM BID, Hidden Treasure Mine, Tooele County, Utah, 8.5 x 3 x 1.5 cm, Cabinet,    These Hemimorphite specimens came out in the 70's and 80's as the mine is sealed by the state of Utah. These are grey and a 5 mm thick coating of crystals similar to Kelly or Mexican Smithsonite except the surface is not smooth, but sparkles.

  40   8jkdpis  ((COCONINOITE?)), RADIOACTIVE, $1 MINIMUM BID, Jomac Mine, White Canyon, Utah, 8 x 5 x 3 cm, Cabinet, Yellow mineral in sandstone.  EXCEPT COCONINOITE is white and not yellow.  LABEL IS PROBABLY INCORRECT.  Analysis needs to be done to identify however is not justified for me with just one specimen.  If there was a flat of the same type of specimens, but this is the only one.  May be incorrectly identified or perhaps a mix up in specimens but I purchased it with the existing label with other specimens correctly identified.

A sharply crystallized example of this rare sulfate species, formerly known as Schonite, from a classic locality long abandoned. Minor halite is associated underneath and around the backside. It is, overall, a very attractive miniature. It carries an old label from the Bergakadmemie Freiberg. Sharp and complete all around, very 3-dimensional.
