1   8atrcg  ((AJOITE)), TYPE LOCALITY, $10 MINIMUM BID, New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona,  4 x 4 x 1.5 cm,  Miniature, A uncommon Copper Aluminum Silicate.  This specimen has a few crystals but is mostly non crystalline and covered on all surfaces of the specimen.

 

 
 7hhjhns  ((PSEUDOBROOKITE)),  $20 MINIMUM BID, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah,  19 x 12 x 6 cm,  Large Cabinet,  Large specimen of Topaz Mountain Rhyolite with a vuggy area in the center covered with small Quartz crystals.  In the vug are several Pseudobrookite sprays and crystals.  One spray is very fine totally undamaged terminated Pseudobrookite crystals to about 5 or 7 MM.  One thin needle of Pseudobrookite is about 13 MM in length attached to the Rhyolite at each end of the crystal.   I have never seen specimens this large on the market.  Pseudobrookite  specimens are normally non matrix thumbnail specimens.

4    98ecjtn  ((HEMATITE)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Nador, Morocco,  5 x 3 x .5 cm,  Miniature, A lustrous flat paralled group of shiny Hematite from Nador District of Morocco. 
5    8ectgn  ((GREEN MIMETITE with WULFENITE)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico,  3 x 2 x 1.5 cm,  Thumbnail,  Thumbnail sized specimen with terminated butterscotch colored Wulfenite crystals on green Mimetite. 

 

 

6  8ectgne  ((Unusual Stripped WULFENITE)),  $40 MINIMUM BID, Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico,  9 x 6 x 3 cm,  Cabinet,  Unusual coloration with the centers being brown and the terminations being the more typical butterscotch color.  Undamaged crystals on this oddity.  I only seen this one and I got it last year.  Originally I thought I would keep it, but I just found a box with some specimens I bought a year ago, so I listed it. 

7   8ectgii  ((GREEN MIMETITE, WULFENITE)),  $20 MINIMUM BID, Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico,  7 x 4 x 2.5 cm,  Large Miniature,  This specimen has very lustrous, more than usual, butterscotch colored Wulfenite crystals with flat terminations on green Mimetite.  I just found a box with some specimens I bought a year ago. 

8    8ectgin  ((WULFENITE)),  $20 MINIMUM BID, Ojuela Mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico,  4 x 3.5 x 2 cm,  Miniature,  Stout large crystals of Wulfenite to 2.4 cm.  One crystal appears to have contact flattening and shortening the terminations but crystals appear to be undamaged. 

    9ecmso  ((RHODOCHROSITE, SPHALERITE)),  $20 MINIMUM BID, Wudong Mine, Liubao, Wushou Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang A R, China,  6 x 3.5 x 3 cm,  Miniature,  Sphalerite crystals with minor small Pyrite.  On the specimen is a cluster of rhombs of Rhodochrosite.  This looks like part of a once large rhomb of Rhodochrosite that once occupied the spot.   A new large lot of fine Chinese Rhodochrosite was found prior to Tuscon this year.  These are similiar but still a totally different type of specimen than the Colorado Sweet home Rhodochrosites.  Fortunately  a much less price than the Colorado Rhodochrosite.  These are very hard to tell a natural face from a cleaved face.  

 

10   9ecmsir  ((RHODOCHROSITE, FLUORITE, PYRITE)),  $35 MINIMUM BID, Wudong Mine, Liubao, Wushou Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang A R, China,  4 x 3 x 1.7 cm,  Miniature,  A new large lot of fine Chinese Rhodochrosite was found prior to Tuscon this year.  These are similiar but still a totally different type of specimen than the Colorado Sweet home Rhodochrosites.  Fortunately  a much less price than the Colorado Rhodochrosite.  These are very hard to tell a natural face from a cleaved face.   This one has associated with it Sphalerite and a small Galena.

11  9ecmsnt  ((RHODOCHROSITE, PYRITE)),  $65 MINIMUM BID, Wudong Mine, Liubao, Wushou Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang A R, China,  8.5 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm,  Cabinet,  A new large lot of fine Chinese Rhodochrosite was found prior to Tuscon this year.  These are similiar but still a totally different type of specimen than the Colorado Sweet home Rhodochrosites.  Fortunately  a much less price than the Colorado Rhodochrosite.  These are very hard to tell a natural face from a cleaved face.   This is another Cabinet sized specimen with good coverage of opaque pinkish red Rhodochrosite and minor Pyrite. 

 

12    9ecmsrs  ((RHODOCHROSITE, FLUORITE)),  $95 MINIMUM BID, Wudong Mine, Liubao, Wushou Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang A R, China,  6 x 5 x 3.5 cm,  Miniature,  A new large lot of fine Chinese Rhodochrosite was found prior to Tuscon this year.  These are similiar but still a totally different type of specimen than the Colorado Sweet home Rhodochrosites.  Fortunately  a much less price than the Colorado Rhodochrosite.  These are very hard to tell a natural face from a cleaved face.   The back and back and two side areas are sawn.  This is almost solid Rhodochrosite with only small area on the back having Pyrite. The vug like front has better defined Rhodochrosite rhombs and an area of cubic Fluorite.  The Fluorite light purple near the surface and light green beneath the purple.

14    5ggg  ((PYRITE pseudomorph after PYRRHOTITE)),  $25 MINIMUM BID, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico,  6 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm ,  Miniature,  Fine classic Mexican pseudo.  Pointed terminations of the once Pyrrhotite crystals and now pseudomorphed to Pyrite.

 

15    9ecgpir  ((POLYBASITE, PYRITE)),  $25 MINIMUM BID, Guanajuato, Mexico,  3.5 x 3.5 x 3 cm ,  Miniature, ex F John Barlow with label,  Here is a fine Mexican Polybasite with associated Chalcopyrite and Pyrite former Barlow specimen.  This is the other of the two specimens.

16   7ddceestn  ((ALBITE, QUARTZ)),  $40 MINIMUM BID, Governeur Talc Company  Quarry, Harrisville, New York,  9 x 5 x 5 cm ,  Cabinet,  Neat New York specimen combo of white double terminated opaque Albite and Quartz.  ex Ernie Schlicter collection.

17  2306 99hhmlee  ((VANADINITE on BARITE)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, Mibladen, Morocco,  6 x 4.5 x 3 cm,  Miniature,  This Vanadinite was brought back in 1999 from a buying trip to Morocco that the Miners Lunchbox made.  I highgraded several specimens from the lot back in 1999.  Most have long since been sold but this one I kept in my collection.  It is undamaged and the Vanadinite covered Barite resembles a flower.   Sits perfectly for display.

 

 

 

18   2305 99hhmlee  ((VANADINITE on BARITE)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, Mibladen, Morocco,  9.5 x 7 x 3 cm,  Cabinet,  This Vanadinite was brought back in 1999 from a buying trip to Morocco that the Miners Lunchbox made.  I highgraded several specimens from the lot back in 1999.  Most have long since been sold but this one I kept in my collection.  It is undamaged and the Vanadinite completely covers the Barite, front, sides, and back.   The bladed white Barite can be seen from the front side.

 

 

19  2309 99hhmlee  ((VANADINITE on BARITE)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, Mibladen, Morocco,  4.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm,  Miniature,  This Vanadinite was brought back in 1999 from a buying trip to Morocco that the Miners Lunchbox made.  I highgraded several specimens from the lot back in 1999.  Most have long since been sold but this one I kept in my collection.  It is undamaged and the Vanadinite has great luster and color.  The crystals to 6 MM protrude from the top of the specimen.

20    9ectgin  ((FIBROUS MALACHITE)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Katanga, Zaire,  7 x 4.5 x 3 cm,  Cabinet, This specimen is similiar to last weeks specimen. Aesthetic fibrous Malachite from Zaire.  The green fibrous Malachite has chatoyancy as the light varies the light and dark green coloration.

23   4285 1hhshr  ((ROSASITE on HEMIMORPHITE with SMITHSONITE)),  $15 MINIMUM BID, Hidden Treasure Mine, Tooele County, Utah,  5.5 x 3 x 1.5 cm,  Miniature,  A fine specimen of small spheres of dark blue green Rosasite on a bed of Hemimorphite crystals.  At the one side of the specimen void of Rosasite is Smithsonite.

26   7atkria  ((MALACHITE on CALCITE with minor DIOPTASE)),  $30 MINIMUM BID, Tsumeb, Namibia,  8 x 7 x 2.5 cm,  Cabinet,  Rhombs of colorless Calcite on one side and brown Calcite with Hematite inclusions on the other side.  Green fibrous Malachite covers on side and is sparse on the backside.  Intermixed are small emerald green small Dioptase crystals which are hard to see without a loop.  ex Uri Bahman collection.

51   4ikggts  ((CREEDITE)),  $40 MINIMUM BID, Colquiri, Bolivia, 6.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 cm,  Miniature, Older specimen of Creedite from Bolivia.  These are not seen very often and mostly out of old collections.  ex Gil Griffin collection.  In great shape without any  damage without careful examine with a loop.

Mindat does not reference Hendrixite and does show Biotite at Sterling Hill.  But I have also seen Hendrixite labeled several different times.  Anyone know.  Is this a local name for Biotite from Sterling Hill?

Large Miniature, 5.7 x 4.5 x 3.6 cm

 

A sharply crystallized example of this rare sulfate species, formerly known as Schonite, from a classic locality long abandoned. Minor halite is associated underneath and around the backside. It is, overall, a very attractive miniature. It carries an old label from the Bergakadmemie Freiberg. Sharp and complete all around, very 3-dimensional.


 

7hhlmit  ((FLUORESCENT APATITE)),   $30 MINIMUM BID,  Sapo Mine, Goiabeira, Minas Gerais, Brazil,  4 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm, Miniature,  Here is a great miniature.  It is double terminated stacked crystals of Apatite which has a hollow core and is Fluorescent orange under UV.   Completely undamaged.
9chmrl  ((CALCITE pseudomorph after GLAUBERITE)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Camp Verde, Yavapai County, Arizona,  9 x 6.5 x 5 cm,  Cabinet, Excellent large specimen which is nearly completely undamaged.  One tip on one vertical crystal missing on the bottom of the specimen. The small specimens are common and easily collected but these large specimens are much harder to collect and not nearly as common as the small ones.  Glauberite is a sulfate and Calcite is a carbonate.  If it dissolves in HCl,  then it was a Calcite pseudo.
