2    300-9iddbcfiss  ((FLUORITE with CALCITE)),  $30 MINIMUM BID, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico,  11 x 5 x 3 cm, Cabinet,  Light yellow to colorless cubic Fluorite crystals to 1 cm covered with small dogtooth brown opaque crystals of Calcite.  Looks undamaged although some Calcite terminations may be a bit rounded.  But any minor damage does not show when viewing with the naked eye.
3    300-9iddbcfes  ((PYROLUSITE)),  $30 MINIMUM BID, Taylor Mine, Alberta, Baraga County, Michigan,  8.5 x 5 x 4 cm, Cabinet,  The Taylor mine is a small open-pit iron mine prospect pits lying in an isolated patch of of the iron-formation near Alberta, Michigan which has noteworthy Pyrolusite and Manganite specimens ref Rocks and Minerals vol 58 page 108.  This specimen has several vugs with the best being in front protecting sprays of terminated Pyrolusite crystals.  Better in person.  Photos do not show vug very well.

5   300-9iddbcfes  ((QUARTZ)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Hunter Canyon, Huachuca Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona,  8 x 6 x 3.5 cm, Cabinet,  Nice plate of terminated undamaged Quartz crystals with a soft matte luster.   Base has a label with 10/03 and so it was probably collected in October, 2003.

 

6  300-9iddbcfirs  ((COPPER)),  $50 MINIMUM BID, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan,  9 x 9 x .4 cm, Cabinet,  Fine specimen of large flattened crystals of Copper from Michigan.  Old Label says Dr Horace Ferguson, London, Ontario Sept. 1950.   ex Don Olson, ex Dave Bunk.

 

   7   300-9iddbcfar  ((GALENA WITH BARITE)),  $20 MINIMUM BID, Black Cloud Mine, Leadville, Lake County, Colorado,   6 x 6 x 3 cm, Miniature,  Undamaged crystals of Cubic Galena with slight octahedral modifications.  Luster is a dull metallic grey and some small Barite crystals, Sphalerite crystals, and Pyrite crystals in the crevases between the larger Galena crystals.  There is also one larger 7 MM Barite crystal perched on the Galena.  Old label says collector is Richard Johnson.

 

8      300-9iddbcfts  ((CALCITE)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Owl Canyon, Larimer County, Colorado,   8 x 7 x 4 cm, Miniature,  Undamaged brown lustrous dogtooth crystals of Calcite from Owl Canyon in Colorado.  Old label says minerals from the Allen Collection.

 

   300-9iddbcfts  ((GYPSUM)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Great Salt Plains, Jet, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma,  12 x 7 x 7 cm, Cabinet,  Here is a fine undamaged scuptural example of Gypsum from the Oklahoma Salt Plains.  It consists of a group of intergrown double terminated crystals to 6.5 cm.

 

 

 

10  300-9iddbcfirs  ((TETRAHEDRITE, QUARTZ on SPHALERITE)),  $40 MINIMUM BID, Casapalca Mine, Huarochiri Province, Lima Department, Peru,  10 x 6 x 4 cm, Cabinet, Terminated undamged Quartz crystals with lustrous grey  Tetrahedrite crystals.  I see three damaged Tetrahedrite crystals which is very good for almost all Tetrahedrite specimens have some damage.  Aesthetic looking combination especially with the protruding larger multiterminated parallel Quartz to the left of the Tetrahedrite crystals.
11  300-9iddbcfiss  ((CUPRITE ON COPPER)),  $30 MINIMUM BID, Ray Mine, Pinal County, Arizona,  8 x 6.5 x 4.5 cm, Cabinet, Heavy arborescent crystals of Copper covered with Cuprite. 

12    300-9iddbcfrs  ((CALCITE)),  $15 MINIMUM BID, Blue Mound Mine, Pitcher, Tri-State District, Ottawa County, Oklahoma,  9 x 7.5 x 6.5 cm, Cabinet, Excellent undamaged Tri-State Calcite with the actual Mine known.  This has two generations of Calcite.  The first formed a yellow scalenohedral crystal of Calcite.  The The second generation grew a whiter Calcite over the first crystals faces forming four terminations over the original termination.  The new white Calcite is thinnest at the old yellow Calcite face edges and the yellow shows through.   Neat tri-state Calcite.

14   300-9iddbcfirs  ((SPHALERITE with QUARTZ and CALCITE)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, San Antonio El Grande Mine, East Camp, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico,  10 x 7 x 5 cm, Cabinet, Great combination specimen with large black Sphalerite crystals and terminated long Quartz crystals.  On these are white double terminated scalenohedral crystals of Calcite.  Probably from the one of the Belsher collections.

18   300-9iddbcfirs  ((RHODOCHROSITE with FLUORITE and  QUARTZ)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, Sunnyside Mine, near Silverton, San Juan County, Colorado,  10 x 7.5 x 4 cm, Cabinet, This specimen is mainly nearly colorless cubic Fluorite from Sunnyside with associated pink Rhodochrosite and minor white Quartz. 

19     300-9iddbcfirs  ((CALCITE with FLUORITE)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, Annabel Lee Mine, Cave In Rock, Hardin County, Illinois,  10 x 9 x 4.5 cm, Cabinet, This specimen is mainly Calcite with associated yellow Fluorite.   While not pristine, it displays nicely.  The large Calcite has many many parallel terminations  with the top having some damage on the back.  The cluster of Calcite crystals has a couple of missing with the others undamaged and terminated.

22  300-9iddbcfegrs  ((QUARTZ over DANBURITE with CALCITE)),  $250 MINIMUM BID, Charcas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico,  17 x 14 x 9 cm, Cabinet,  An excellent undamaged specimen with many terminated Danburite crystals covered with a druze of Quartz.  The base is covered with smaller double terminated Calcite crystals.  The Danburites are in superb condition without any damage.
23  8hljdnss  ((very rare pseudo GOLD pseudomorph after AIKINITE on QUARTZ)),  Martin Ehrmann Label  $265 MINIMUM BID, Beresov, Urals,  7 x 5 x 5 cm, Cabinet,  very rare pseudomorph with an old Martin Erhmann label.  Small area of Gold replacement of Aikinite.  Knowledgeable collectors at the Friends of Mineralogy show were very impressed but I guess did not collect pseudomorphs.  Not the most aesthetic but a great old timer.  NOTE all the tan is not Gold.  Gold is the white (shiny) area (middle right).

29   300-9iddbcfrs  ((SPHALERITE with QUARTZ)),  $15 MINIMUM BID, Sweethome Mine, Alma, Park County, Colorado,  5 x 3 x 2 cm, Miniature,  Terminated Quartz and Sphalerite look to be undamaged.  Sweethome is famous for its world class Rhodochrosite specimens. 

30   300-9iddbcfirs  ((CALCITE with COPPER inclusions on COPPER)),  $45 MINIMUM BID, Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan,  3 x 2.5 x 2.5 cm, Miniature,  Looks to be undamaged but with a little edge wear.  However the tip of the termination is contact and has some of the matrix material included.  Calcite is transluscent and the included Copper can be seen but the Calcite is not transparent.  ex  Harold Michel collection.  

 

31   300-9iddbcfirs  ((BARITE)),  $50 MINIMUM BID, near Warihuayin, Huamalies Province, Huanuco Department, Peru,  5 x 5 x 3.5 cm, Miniature,  Outstanding colorless lustrous Barite from Peru.  These almost always have some damage.  This one looks to be damage free to me and has fairly thin crystals so that it is not as fragile as it looks.
