  2   cels   ((FLUORITE)),  $75 MINIMUM BID, Jiangxi Province, China,  15.5 x 9 x 8 cm, Cabinet,  Large cabinet sized specimen of dark green transluscent octahedral crystals of Fluorite.  A small spot of damage on the back, otherwise undamaged.  Sets up for display.   

 

 
  3   98cgfgr-1892   ((GROSSULAR variety RASPBERRY GARNET)),  $35 MINIMUM BID, Sierra de Cruces, Coahuila, Coahuila, Mexico,  6 x 3.5 x 2 cm, Miniature,  Fine large Raspberry Garnet undamaged with some contact on the backside.  Also a small associated Vesuviante on the backside.  These are also Fluorescent.  This size was never plentiful in this shape.  These Raspberry Garnets used to be fairly common for awhile in the smaller crystals but even these are not seen much anymore.  This was purchased back in 1998 and has been in my collection.  It could have been the best out of a group of small specimens I hand selected in 1998.

  14  8hhjhnr   ((HALITE on GYPSUM)),  $20 MINIMUM BID, Great Salt Lake, Tooele County, Utah,  20 x 9.5 x 8 cm, Cabinet,  Here is a large Cabinet specimen from the one time find a couple of years ago.  This has a stalactite like formation on its side formed from Gypsum crystals growing on a branch or limb and then falling over in the water to the bottom also covered with Gypsum.  Then secondary the sparkling cubes of colorless Halite crystalized onto the Gypsum.  Single and twinned Gypsum crystals have always been found but this is the first find having the stalactite like formation covered with sharp pointed Gypsum crystals protruding from the stalactite like a cactus.

  24  09hlnawtn  ((FRANKLINITE)),  $50 MINIMUM BID, Franklin, New Jersey,  3.2 x 3.2 x 3.2 cm,  Miniature,  Here is a large single crystal of Franklinite from Franklin.  The octahedral crystal has some missing crystal on the tips of the octahedral crystal some contact on the back.  The edges are sharp and undamage.  Overall this crystal is in great shape for a large Franklinite crystal.  ex Neil A Wintringham collection whom specialized in East Coast minerals.
