  62    3dhshnr  ((BIRNESSITE, CALCITE)),  $15 MINIMUM BID, 300 foot level, Gold Hill Mine, Tooele County, Utah,  6.5 x 3.5 x 2 cm, Miniature,  Here is a fine specimen with stalactites of Calcite coated with and filled with the rare black mineral Birnessite.   This is attached to a plastic block with hot glue.  Heating the glue and separating the glue from the plastic, and then heating enough to pull the glue from the specimen with care would allow the specimen to be separated from the stand.  The Calcite is fragile enough to break if trying to pull the Calcite from the stand.

 

 
  63     7attjnr  ((RED BERYL)),  $5 MINIMUM BID, Wild Horse Springs, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah,  3 MM, small Thumbnail, Here is a small double terminated 3 MM Red Beryl specimen from the most uncommon of the three Utah Red Beryl locations.  These are prismatic crystals unlike the Topaz Mountain, Thomas Range Beryls.  The Wah Wah Mountains have prismatic crystals but are usually very expensive.  The Wild Horse location seems to be completely played out.  Several local field collectors over the years have been on location trying to find more specimens but none have been found.

One side has micro green crystals on the Smithsonite that looks like Malachite after Cuprite or Copper.  On the  edges it also looks like the pale greenish Smithsonite is actually a second growth of Smithsonite over a brown colored Smithsonite.      ex Uri Bahman collection.  ex Kristalle specimen.

  70    994258rs  ((JULGOLDITE)),  $50 MINIMUM BID,  Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India,  3.5 x 3 x 1 cm, Miniature,  Here is a rare Indian mineral.  Its black, a hemisphere, and looks soft but is not.  It came out about 12 years ago.  There never seemed to be many specimens and are rarely if ever seen any longer for sale.   This is one from 1999 and has been out for sale for awhile but not for the last several years.

  74     33-00idcsgs  ((TETRAHEDRITE, QUARTZ)),  $50 MINIMUM BID,  Casapalca Mine, Huarochiri Province, Lima Department, Peru,  14 x 9 x 7 cm, Cabinet,  Here is a fine large Cabinet sized Tetrahedrite with associated Quartz.  It has a large 5 cm central crystal.  A few minor termination scuffs but overall no major damage and in great shape for a large Tetrahedrite specimen which usually have some damaged crystals. 

 

 
  75      6idejnt  ((ANATASE)),  $35 MINIMUM BID,  Hardangarvidda, Norway,  1.7 x 1.3 x .8 cm, Thumbnail,  Here is a fine single crystal of black lustrous Anatase from Norway.  Undamaged except for a chip on the underside of one termination.  Displays in a perky without showing the damage.  NOTE what looks like a crack in the photo is actually the crystal having a two terminations at that end from offset growth of the crystal.
