28    551-10fsgais  ((COPPER)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, 6590 foot level, Bingham Canyon Mine, Oquirrh Mine, Salt Lake County, Utah, 2 x 2 x 1 cm, Thumbnail,  Last year a small part of a find of Copper was saved from the smelter.  Crystallized Copper from the Bingham Canyon Mine is rare.  This was the best find and probably the only find in at least 30 years.  All the previous old specimens that I have seen have occurred in tight seems and has had contact on both sides of the flattened crystals.   This is crystallized (NOTE not as nice as last weeks thumbnail).    I have a couple of flats of miniatures and small cabinets that I hope to photo for a web page.

Here is a specimen with sprays of colorless bladed Hemimorphite covered with acicylar black crystals of Plattnerite.  Great under a loop or microscope.

75      ari  ((BROOKITE on SMOKY QUARTZ)),  $15 MINIMUM BID,  Moses Hill, Magnet Cove, Arkansas,  12 x 9 x 7 cm, Cabinet,  Here is a uncommonly large specimen of Brookite on Smoky Quartz.  Mostly thumbnails and miniatures exist but Cabinet and large Cabinet specimens are uncommon.  This is the largest by far out of thousands of specimens.  This on has a ribbon of large Brookite crystals down the right side along with various others throughout the specimen.
