  14   10hljdis  ((SYNTHETIC ZINCITE)),  $30 MINIMUM BID,  West Plant, New Jersey Zinc Smelter, Palmerton, Pennsylvania,  6.5 x 3 x 2 cm, Miniature,  Mounted in a plastic miniature box.  Synthetic Zincite is well known from the smelter in Poland.  Here is a much more uncommon specimen of smelter Zincite of New Jersey Zinc in Palmerton, Pennsylvania in operation from 1898 to 1980.   Upgraded efficiency in Smelters cause these Zinc Oxide smelter accumulations to no longer occur.  This looks to have no damage or attachment but is glued to the styrofoam base and probably has some sort of attacment on the three glued ends.  Historic U.S. Zincite specimen.
