Timroseite was recently described by Kampf et al in American Mineralogist (2010), 95, 1560-1568 and named in honor Timothy P. Rose. It occurs with host of other tellurates such as housleyite, khinite, markcooperite, ottoite, paratimroseite, and thorneite. Timroseite occurs as as "olive to lime green, irregular, rounded masses and rarely in crystals as dark olive green, equant rhombs, and diamond-shaped plates in subparallel sheaf-like aggregates". This specimen shows these habits and crystals - although the micro crystals are extremely small. As per Tim, this specimen also contains a yet-to-be-described turquoise colored tellurate. Tim was kind enough to send along his signed label with this specimen. Tim is a highly active field collector, a member of the NCMA and editor for the International Federation of Micromount Societies newsletter.
