7  11hljdr  ((RHODOCHROSITE)),    $20 MINIMUM BID, Pachapaqui District, Ancash Department, Peru, 13.5 x 6 x 5.5 Cabinet,  Here is a pretty pink Rhodochrosite from Pachapaqui.  It has geometric shapes with marks that look like they have been cut in with a knife.  These are actually left by another bladed mineral crystals, perhaps Calcite, that the Rhodochrosite grew on and between the blades.  Then the blades were later dissolved by nature leaving the strange and interesting shapes.  These strange cut like formations are also found in some Russian Quartz specimens.  
8    7hhcens  ((CALCITE, ARAGONITE STALACTITE)),    $15 MINIMUM BID, Beck Street Limestone Quarries, North Salt Lake, Salt Lake County, Utah, 23.5 x 9.5 x 5.5 cm, Large Cabinet,  This was collected and brought to me by a local collector two years ago.  He found it exploring a small cave in a local Limestone gravel quarry.  The cave is probably gone now by the on going quarry operation.  It is composed of three non terminated columns with one large and two smaller columns.  A bit ugly but hard to come by since all the major caves which are in Utah County, like Timpanogos are protected national monuments with collecting not allowed.

47    8204 07btkrr    ((BAYLDONITE pseudomorph after AZURITE?)),  $20 MINIMUM  BID,  Tsumeb, Namibia, 1.5 x 1.5 x 1 cm, Thumbnail,  Here is a rare pseudomorph from Tsumeb.  It is a small Azurite shaped crystal that is  a light green color.  It is not the typical Malachite pseudo.  It was not labeled by Kristalle when I purchased part of the Uri Bahman collection.  I think it is probably Bayldonite but it has no analysis has been done to confirm.  ex Kristalle, ex Uri Bahman collection.

48     8256 95btjtnr-723    ((VANADINITE)),  $10 MINIMUM  BID,  Mibladen, Midelt, Morocco, 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm, Thumbnail,  Here is a fine undamaged red orange Vanadinite in a thumbnail size.  It is mounted on a block stand that fits into a perky box.  It was mounted with old hardened blue mineral tack.  I removed the min tack and replaced with new white tack but it still has remnants of the blue tack on the bottom of the specimen.

71    449 9lfdceis  ((CHALCANTHITE variety PHILLIPITE)), Phila Academy of Science #19200,  $10 MINIMUM BID, Santiago, Chile, 4.5 cm sealed glass tube,  Thumbnail,  Here is a specimen of soluble Copper Sulfate which has been sealed in a glass tube with the ends melted closed.   It is from the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Science collection #12000.  It has and old label, in two pieces, and an Academy label.  It is an unusual or rare variety of Chalcanthite from Chile.  Phillipite may not be a valid species any longer.
 
72       7941 0apmrir  ((ZINCITE, smelter by product)),  $10 MINIMUM BID, Silesia, Poland,  4.5 cm in length, Miniature,  This is a smelter by product from old inefficent Zinc Furnaces.  Modern furnaces do not have this zincite formed any longer.  Twenty years ago some dealers entire booths were Zincite.  Now it is uncommon to see any for sale except in metaphysical shops selling by the gram.  The majority is held in collections throughout the world.  This is from a small to medium size lot I purchased many years ago.  The last 3 larger pieces that I had saved, I took to Denver and sold all three.  This small specimen just showed up again in some of my stock.
