_small.jpg) | Few Pyrite specimens were collected at Ophir Hill Mine. The cubic Pyrite crystals are in massive matrix and not in vugs so field collectors did not collect these while looking for Calcite, Scheelite, Tetrahedrite, and other species. Here is an uncommon specimen with many of the cubic Pyrite crystals undamaged and some partial crystals that pulled apart and attched to the other parts of the matrix material when this specimen was collected.
