20hhdw.is   ((LIMONITE, GOETHITE pseudomorph after PYRITE)),    $30 MINIMUM BID,  Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah,  6.5 x 6.5 x 6.5 cm Miniature to small Cabinet

Crystals on all sides except some contact on the bottom.  There are some small stress cracks that are typical of these.  These were open pit mined in the late 1990's by John Holfert.  Some were self collected from the dumps after that but good specimens were hard to find in the dumps with mostly small and damaged pieces found.   This one has some remnants of the matrix and was probably and older specimen self collected by one of the Utah field collectors.  The mined specimens have been cleaned to be matrix free and have a darker lustrous mahongany finish and not the light brown as this specimen..  ex Dana Wilson MD collection #142.
