_small.jpg) | Excellent undamged cluster of Arsenopyrite crystals from Yaogangian Mine in China. This was brought from China to the US by Detrin Minerals, one of the first to import newly found specimens from the Yaogangian Mine between first 2000 to 2005. The mine went on to produce a large amount of specimens including Arsenopyrite, Bournonite, Wolframite, and Fluorite specimens. A few years ago I heard that specimens from the mines were no longer available. This I acquired from a large sub lot of China minerals from the Yaogangxian Mine that Minerals Lunchbox purchased from Detrin Minerals in about 2005 at the end of the Tucson shows. I purchased a lot that needed a 14 foot utility trailor to haul from Reno to Salt Lake City. A lot of weight and took a bit to get up to speed but made it with no flat tires. This was the best miniature Arsenopyrite in the lot. I just pulled it out of my display cabinet. It has associated Quartz and Muscovite |
