 | The dig on this Epidotes from Kenya was financed by Wayne Thompson and resulted in a limited on time find. I bought the large lot of the small ones which were thumbnail to miniature. I got only a few of the cabinet sized specimens. Another dealer bought the cabinet sized specimens. Wayne kept and sold the large cabinet specimens and groups in the $5000 to $25000 each at Tucson during the year of the find. This one is terminated, lustrous and is probably nearly unique in that it has a healed offset fracture at the mid point. Also the base is healed. Undamaged, this size was like the ones in the larger lot and retailed in the $500 to $700 each price range. |
