 | Here is a specimen of Chalcopyrite with a dark nearly black patina. Minor chipping shows the yellow coloration of Chalcopyrite. The underside of the specimen shows a more brassy coloration typical of Pyrite. It looks like the matrix is solid Pyrite covered with a thinner layer of Chalcopyrite. |
