 | Here is a large plate of green with purple edges, octahedral Fluorite from the De'an Mine. These are etched out of Quartz with HF acid. This one has a Quartz backing with a final layer of Fluorite. This one can be backlit somewhat . It is also not oiled. Most specimens on the market by the Chinese are oiled to bring out the color. Many people do not like them being oiled. So if you prefer the oiled variety, just put some mineral oil on it and the luster and color will be enhanced. This is a very nice De'an Fluorite without damage and with the contrasting white background. |
