 | Here is an uncommon species, Sulphohalite, from Searles Lake. On the club trips at the Searles Lake show, everyone looks for the Sulphohalite crystals among the many many thousands of Hanksite crystals. I never found any Sulphohalite but had 5 gallon buckets of Hanksite crystals on the one collecting trip I was on (with 200 other cars of collectors). These Searles Lake field trips are the largest field trips in the world. |
