Specimen with a rainbow of color Locally the Bertha is known for its blue Chalcanthite. Unfortunately it is not the most stable of specimens and tends to fall apart over time. Gypsum also occurs but is usually rather small pieces. Recently local collectors have collected five larger specimens of which I acquired 3. Here is one of those three. I had not come across any of these previously. Only Chalcanthite of one Pyrite from the Bertha have I seen previously. |
