 | This is part of the large lot of 80 flats of Tsumeb specimens purchased from Kristalle last year at the beginning of Tucson. These were not labeled as of the minerals. Ex Uri Bahamm collection. So the ID is a guess on my part. The front of this specimen has the yellow Smithsonite crystals which is the Cadmian Smithsonite variety. On the reverse it appears that iron oxide, possible included, has caused a more red brown coloration of the Smithsonite crystals. This is a finer large cabinet specimen of Smithsonite without being 4 or 5 figures. |
