 | Here is a large terminated Epidote from Wayne Thompson's sponcered dig in Kenya 10 years ago. Nothing has been out since. Evidently a remote one time dig. This looks like a single crystal at the base but has two terminations. Evidently parallel crystals. No damage. It has a bit of matrix prtruding about a third the of way down from the top and some matrix contact on the back. Wayne had these in Tucson one year with specimens in the $5000 to $40000 range. I bought the lot of 20 to 30 flats of the smaller specimens with this being one of the larger of mine. Only a few remain. 2 flats sold this year in Tucson going to an Australian dealer for his shop in Australia. A single flat remains in storage in Tucson until next year and a few strays specimens here in Utah. |
