06jkrtn ((TSCHERNICHITE)), $1 MINIMUM BID, Neer Road Pit, Goble, Columbia County, Oregon, 2.5 x 2.5 x 2 cm, Thumbnail, ex Rudy Tschernich

ex Rudy Tschernich, Rudy wrote the book on Zeolites and collected in the northwest. He also recently retired as curator of the Rice Museum in Hillsborough, Oregon. This species discovered and named for Rudy Tschernich is very small, micro in size. It occurs in the small vesicles in the volcanic matrix. They are usually pricey for their size. This was not an expensive specimen and I have not looked at the specimen under a microscope to see the Tschernichite. It is more a reference specimen and was in the flat of miniatures and thumbnails of Weyerhaeuser locality zeolites. ex Rudy Tschernich
