_small.jpg) | Here is a Butte specimen of Covellite. Uncommon bladed Covellite crystals rather than the typical massive Covellite. With a loop I see the typical metallic Covellite blue. But much of the crystals surfaces are also a black grey color from perhaps pseudomorphing to Chalcocite. On the crystals is also a micro cystalline green Malachite. Much of the Pyrite is massive but also there are octahedral crystals of Pyrite to 2 cm. |
