 | No attachment on this floater cluster of octahedral Pyrite. These were collected by John Medici several years ago. They ranged in all sizes from 2 cm to 70 cm. This one looks like a club used by knights in shining armour. No damage except several cracks which is normal. Some specimens in the cleaning and prep process to remove these from shale require reassembly. I do not know on this one but the crack around the center looks like the two halves are probably rejoined. Again most of these have some repair since they are found in shale, which is removed. It displays upright without any stand. |
