Here are two specimens of a smaller species of trilobite from Utah's lower Ordovician, Wah Wah Limestone formation. Utah is famous for its excellent rare and common Cambrian Trilobites. One does not usually think of Utah for its Ordovician trilobites. This is one that is found illustrating one of trilobites characteristics, that of rolling up in a ball protecting its softer underbody and legs. Photos show the head side and the tail or pygidium side. |
