 | Here is a large Ophir Calcite which is fluorescent red orange under SW UV. These are hard to get without lots of damage. The Calcite is many times covering Scheelite and so care is not used to collect the Calcite since it usually is etched with HCl to expose the Scheelite. I do not think this one has Scheelite under the Calcite. The Calcite overall in great shape. Collected in the 1990's by Solon Hammack. |
