8ectgnr ((CALCITE)), $35 MINIMUM BID, Brushy Creek Mine, Reynolds County, Missouri, 12 x 8.5 x 6 cm, Cabinet, | |
Here is a undamaged lustrous Brushy Creek double terminated Calcite. The terminations are naturally rounded by etching and the body is also etched reveiling a rootbeer internal coloration. I think these are nicknamed rootbeer crystals or rootbeer barrels. I have had one other. No damage at all. Backside faces have the dull grey finish and there is also some matrix rock left where the Calcite came off. |
