_small.jpg) | No apparent damage to this extra large Cabinet sized specimen of Scolesite from Chalisgoan. Some of these has small rhombs of Calcite on the Scolesite. I did not see any obvious Calcite but I have not looked that close. Also no apparent contract except the little spot at the narrow end. Complete and looks the same all around. This was a specimen from Rudy Tschernich who was the currator for the Rice Museum. He bought several tables of these at Tuscon from the new find in 2008. He used many to build a large Scolesite pocket for the Rice Museum which has Rudy's donated collection of Zeolites on Display. Rudy wrote the book on zeolites around the world including Oregon and Washington. ex Rudy Tschernich collection. |
