16hsh.iss ((SMITHSONITE, CALCITE)), $65 MINIMUM BID, Hidden Treasure Mne, Tooele County, Utah Province, 13 x 8.5 x 4 cm, Large Cabinet

Large and above average specimen of Smithsonite from the Hidden Treasure Mine. Fine botryoidal sparkling layer of light blue grey Smithsonite coating the front and back side. However over the Smithsonite on the backside is complete coverage of lustrous white to yellowish white Calcite crystals. This is circa 1990 or older collected by Solon Hammack. Uncommon to get aesthetic large specimens of Smithsonite from the Hidden Treasure. Specimen collecting is not allow by the owners and the entrance has been sealed by the state of Utah with I believe bars so that the bats can come and go. ex Solon Hammack collection.
