13hhmd.r   ((TRINITITE)),   $20 MINIMUM BID,  White Sands Missile Range, Socorro County, New Mexico,  2.5 x 2 x 1 cm, Thumbnail

Fused sand, glass, from the Trinity Site, the first Atom Bomb test in July 16, 1945. It is now a national park area with no collecting allowed. All Trinitite has long been bulldozed and buried. Radioactivity of Trinitite is very low. All spcimens available were collected by local rockshops prior to site becoming a park. Similar to tecktite as melted fused sand from meteor strike, in this case an A Bomb explosion. These are being currently sold on Amazon, not my specimens. This is the largest single specimen I have.
