_small.jpg) | Lustrous gemmy Talc from Ludlow Vermont. No collecting allowed in this Talc Mine. Rio Tinto owned the mine at the time this superb pod of pure and gemmy Talc was found and permission was granted to a local dealer to collected and save this occurance for specimens. Since then no collecting was allowed and now the mine has been sold to new owners that will not allow any collecting. This quality has not been found again anyway. The luster makes it hard to photo without it looking silvery. One photos did come out well. Another I took trying to back light. |
