16ewsh.nr ((CALCITE dove aka fishtail Twin)),  $65 MINIMUM BID, Buffalo Mine, Lion Hill Area, Ophir Hill Area, Ophir District, Tooele County, Utah, 5.5 x 5 x 4 cm, Miniature

Rare Twinned Calcite from this locality. Reportedly only about 24 specimens were found and recovered back in approx. 1990. No matrix specimens were able to be collected. These Buffalo Mine Calcites have a brown sharp scalenahedron crystal of Calcite with a secondary coating of white opaque Calcite looking like it snowed. Some Calcite specimens from the locality do not have the secondary Calcite coating. Even a small quartity of the twins do not have the white Calcite coating. None since the original small find have be found or collected during the past 30 years. I got a few in 2016 from the collection of Solon Hammack, the field collector. These usually have a show price of $300 to $500 dollars each. The cheapest sold was 2 at $300 each three years ago at the Tucson. This specimen is undamaged
