Here are 2 thumbnail sized specimens of Ammolite. Most of the Ammolite comes from Canada with some inferior specimens from Madagascar. Ammolite is the gem name for the red, green, and blue colored shell, similiar to the fire in Opals, of fossilized Ammonites. These are from the Jurassic Age when the Ammonites lived in the vast seas. Recently a new find in Utah has produces Ammolite that rivals that from Canada. Here are 2 reference specimens.
