_small.jpg) | Undamaged Quartz druze specimen from the famous collection of Wm Jefferis with his original label from August 26, 1861. His collection was purchased by Carnegie Museum in Pittsburg, PA and their label is also included. Collection number of 3324 is painted on white on specimen and then for some reason over painted with black but with the light shining just right you can make out 334 from the reflected light showing 334 under the black paint. Undamaged specimen and a great history specimen with providence. Wm Jefferis was born in 1820 and died in 1906. This label is 160 years old. ex Glenn Davidson collection. |
