_small.jpg) | Here is a small Azurite nodule from La Sal which has been cut in half. This is an unusual specimen in that cutting in half exposed Malachite completely hidden by the Azurite. These Azurite specimens are used in jewelry to make wirewraped pendants or just used as thumbnails showing both the outside and inside of the nodules. The thinner half has about a third missing which probably broke during cutting and was lost. |
