6hlkmr  ((CALCITE, FRANKLINITE, WILEMITE)),  SW Fluorescent, $15 MINIMUM BID, Franklin, Sussex County, New Jersey,  12 x 6 x 4 cm, Cabinet

After three years of misplacing my UV light, I finally came across it at the only place I did not look for it, under my desk! I am anxious to practice taking some fluorescent photos, I am out of practice! One photo is as taken with the other being auto adjusted. These are probably better in person. I did not take the non UV photos but will describe. Here is a large cabinet sized Franklin specimen with massive reddish brown Willemite which is the UV green. Some white Calcite UV red orange is present. Looking at the blue areas, I think this may be the UV light reflections off the black micaceous mineral which is probably Hendricksite, which resembles Biotite Mica.
