_small.jpg) | Here is a fine Covellite with only minor Pyrite and minor grey Chalcocite along one outside edge. Source of these have been old material collected by miners years ago. That material is very scarce now. We are going to Butte next weekend and attempting to acquire more specimens but last year were we told no more would be available this year. This one was probably from two or three years ago when these nearly 100% blue Covellite were available. This year in Tucson, we sold most of what we had. The two this auction were set aside to wirewrap by Yolanda, but given back to me recently to sell as specimens. |
