 | Here is a beautiful large Calcite from the Buffalo Mine. The base has spherical mounds of Calcite crystals. There are several longer stalactitic Calcite forms made up of Calcite crystals. The longest have a flat looking tip. At first it looks like damage but are undamaged and made up of flower like cluster of Calcite crystals without any damage. Maybe at one time tips were broken but the Calcite crystals continued to form and grow. Not sure. Crystals are same size as others. With the photo contact attachment is on the lower half of the backside. circa 1980's. |
