14btadns   ((ELBAITE TOURMALINE, LEPIDOLITE)), Fluorescent, $10 MINIMUM BID, Black Rapids Glacier, Delta River District, Southeast Fairbanks Borough, Alaska,  11 x 9 x 8 cm,  Cabinet

Here is an Elbaite from Alaska.  The green is not fluorescent but the pink is Fluorescent.  It is from a one time helicopter trip with some side collecting at the cost of about $2000 a flat.  So no more specimens are likely to ever be collected.  I just found a couple of these which I thought all the fluorescent buyers had bought out at Tucson last year.  This year my associate that did the actual collecting brought me a dozen larger specimens that again sold well in Tucson.  This specimen has a few Tourmalines in the specimen. These tourmalines are not overly large compared with the rest of the specimen.

Sold For: $
