_small.jpg) | Choice Pyrite sun. No damage with a fluted pie crust thin edge. I see on small very minor area with the natural edge missing, I had to look with a loop to make sure a bit was missing at the little notch in the photo. The coal mines were all shut down and dismantled 5 years ago and specimens disappeared except for minimal left over dealer stock. A couple of years ago a new coal mine in the area was opened and a few slightly different looking specimens came to market. I had a few flats but my source did not have any last year. So after many produceing years these may no longer be seen. In going through some flats, I found some I had picked out as the best out of thousands of specimens I purchased during the past 10 to 15 years. Here is a great large specimen |
