_small.jpg) | Unusual Pyrite sun in that it is a double with two that grew together as two parallel suns. The luster is not nice as most but it is unusual. The coal mines were all shut down and dismantled 5 years ago and specimens disappeared except for minimal left over dealer stock. A couple of years ago a new coal mine in the area was opened and a few slightly different looking specimens came to market. I had a few flats but my source did not have any last year. So after many produceing years these may no longer be seen. In going through some flats, I found some I had picked out as the best out of thousands of specimens I purchased during the past 10 to 15 years. Here is a great unusual specimen |
