1hhshn ((GOETHITE pseudomorph after PYRITE)), $10 MINIMUM BID, Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah, 10 x 8 x 5 cm, Cabinet | |
The best Goethite after Pyrite pseudomorphs in the world come from Pelican Point. 10 years ago the area was commercially open pit mined. The pit is now filled in and reclaimed. Matrix specimens were now collected and only a few exist. This is a great specimen showing how these pseudomorphs which were up to 18 cm in length were actually found in a hard clay pocket in a hard matrix. |
