 | Here is a Quartz specimen from the Magnetite location in southern Utah. The crystals have a metallic lustrous black coating which is flaked off of some crystals and missing or tatally flaked off one prominant Quartz cyrstal. The matrix is Magnetite but not the octahedral or dodecahedral striated crystals at this locality. This is a nice almost never seen Quartz addition to the Magnetite specimens from the locality. This is the only one of this style with the stubby terminated Quartz with the metallic coating that I have or have seen. |
