8hlkmis ((ADULARIA, BYSOLLITE, GOETHITE pseudomorph after PYRITE)), $30 MINIMUM BID, Keystone Trap Rock Quarry, Cornog, Wallace Twp, Chester County, Pennsylvania, 13 x 11 x 6 cm, Cabinet | |
Here is a classic Pennsylvania specimen with white twinned crosses of Adularia and long needles of Bysollite. It also has a few Goethite pseudomorphs after Pyrite. It is on an Amphibolitic Gneiss matrix and has stained the Byssolite and Anduria a yellow brown color from Limonite, . It is from an old Pennsylvania collectors stash of specimens I acquired a few years ago. Collected in the 60's from the Quarry which is now flooded. |
