| Here is another specimen of midnight blue colored crystal, on a slight bit of matrix, Veszelyite. This one is the other style of habit or crystal form. The crystal is spear shaped. This one is actually several crystals growing parallel to each other and hence having several pointed terminations. The specimen is undamaged and would make a great addition to last weeks specimen showing the two habits. Veszelyite is a rare phosphate from the Black Pine Mine in Montana. The mine is flooded and will not reopen. Also the area where the Veszelyite was found was also exhausted. I believe I have the last small accumulation of specimens. |
