FEATURED ITEM $50 Min Bid - dbirs JAPAN LAW TWIN QUARTZ on MATRIX (MAYBE), P.C. Mine, Basin, Montana, 20 x 8 x 5 cm

This is a piece from Dave Lewis, Diversified Minerals, retired and had a price of $300. He has it labeled repaired since the twin is glued back on matrix. The twin is undamaged and would make a fine twin even off matrix. A repaired or stabilized piece means that the twin or piece is put back in its exact original position. But I have my doubts that the twin was original and not added. Even so separated the Quartz piece and the twin are worth alot more than the $50 opening bid. Dave said it was definitely original. But I am selling it as a made up, faked specimen. I never got around to using acetone to remove the twin and examine the base of the twin and the matrix. If it does look like it came off the matrix it could be reglued or just kept as two specimens.
