Here is a complete gemmy Spessartine crystal that grew within the Muscovite layer. The back side has a thin layer of Muscovite covering the Spessartine. the front is an uncut, unpolished Spessartine face and the hexagonal Spessartine sides are also natural Spessartine faces. This is a really flat Spessartine crystal.
