 | Here is a large specimen of massive robin egg blue Chrysocolla. Its a locality specimen from Utah that is not usually seen. Mostly collecting at Lucin is for Wulfenite and to some extent Aurichalcite and Hemimorphite. This is the first Chrysocolla from there that I have seen. Checking on mindat I see a photo when clicking on the locality with a similar looking mineral. It says gem Kaolinite stained with copper minerals. It could also be the Kaolinite. ex Jim Wilson and collected by Jim Wilson around 1991. Jim Willson wrote a book on mineral localities in Utah and also discovered the mineral Gillulyite. |
